My New Web Page

Finally getting my new webpage set up and my new blog working.  This has been a real stumbling block for me.  It is not hard, does not take a rocket scientist to understand, is rather easy and just requires a little time, but for some reason, I have been dragging my feet.

I think it is partially that I feel getting this up and running makes it official.  I have a business, I am announcing to the world that I’m doing something different.   That is a good thing!

Back in August I decided I was starting this business.  I wasn’t sure of a name so that was my first stumbling block.  Still not sure about the name, so it may be changing, but I attended Michele Scism‘s event in Orlando and some of the other attendees helped me pick the name, Be Social, Get Success.    I met lots of friends there and they have been a huge support.

Since then I have attended other workshops and events in New Jersey with Christine Gallagher and California with Catarina Rando.  I have attended dozens of online workshops including ones with Sandi Krakowski,  Kathleen Gage and Carrie Wilkerson.  I attend weekly calls with many of these and with Debbie O’Grady.  I have learned more than I thought my head could hold.  I became a co-author of a book and did several online webinars with an international audience.  Yet for some reason, I was dragging my feet about getting this page up and running.  Getting this page up and public was my second stumbling block and holding me back.   Have you ever heard of getting in your own way…well that was ME!

Oh well, too late now!  Here it is and I’m moving forward!   Welcome and hope you enjoy the ride with me.

Gratitude…do you show it?

During the month of November, I hope to encourage all my family and friends on facebook to post what they are thankful for as we lead up to Thanksgiving.  If we could all remember to count our blessings every day…we would complain a lot less.   We would smile a lot more.  We would wish for a lot less. Most importantly, we would be the type of person people would want to be around.  We would be the bright spot in their day.  The happy face they need to see.  
No matter how terrible things might seem in any given moment, we have much to be grateful for.   There is always something in our life we can be thankful for.  Gratitude also gives you a number of unexpected personal results.  You start feeling a little different, your outlook on life is better, and your resiliency when things go wrong is better.
During the month of November from now till Thanksgiving….join me in posting what you are thankful for.  You will be surprised how many things you can find.
