Changing Timeline Covers for Facebook

Now that all business pages have the new timeline are you happy with your cover?  Did you know that Facebook encourages changing your cover often?

Some businesses have not placed a cover photo on their fan page timeline and  some individuals have not put covers on their personal page yet.

I thought it might be helpful to know about some sites that have FREE covers available.  Some also offer you the ability to create your own  personalized covers.

You also can always create your own covers using programs you may already have.   If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, or use Pixlr or another free photo software, you can edit your pictures or create images that can be used for covers.

Some companies provide great templates that can be used to create covers.  One such company is the Useful Graphic Design Tutorials.

Whichever option you choose to obtain a cover, you should make sure you have a cover and can update your cover often.

Exciting News – I’m an Author!

I’m an Author!

Lots of people dream of someday writing a book.  Is that one of the items on your bucket list?

It was on my list….always thought someday I would like to write a book.   Last September,  I used vacation time to attend a conference in Orlando about social media and found it to be very interesting.   While there a met several other people who shared my dream.  I also met a publisher and started thinking that maybe my dream could become a reality.

I talked with the publisher and some of the other interested authors several times in October and by the end of the month it was a done deal that we were going to write a book.

I spent the Veteran’s day holiday and weekend in November writing.   Over Thanksgiving I spent time editing and then submitted my portion.  I waited on pins and needles thinking it might be sent back with a big…REJECT or REDO on it.   But much to my delight, I was notified that it was great and they only had to change a word or two.

In January, I took some vacation days and flew to California to meet with the publisher and many of the other co-authors. The book is published by Thrive Publishing.

Late in February I received a copy of the cover and a digital copy of the book.

In March we set up dates for a virtual book launch and were given the go-ahead to start promoting.

In March/April we are holding our virtual book launch. See below for signup info for the virtual launch.
